While describing the frightening moments in the plane he said “I thought that could be the last moments of my life and asked myself a question - did I live a life which I was supposed to live?” His eyes welled while he said that and was silent for a moment. He couldn’t answer that question himself.
Probably many of us may think the same way when we very well know that there is no way out. But is that the time we should think about it? For sure, we are too late at that point.
This is a serious question which we should ask ourselves often and reevaluate our life. If we are honest and sincere on that matter, I am sure it will bring drastic changes in our everyday life.
Anyone who follows Christ should ask this question particularly because when we have decided to follow Christ we have made a decision and made an oath, a promise to set our life in a different path. We are chosen for a purpose and have specific responsibilities.

Let us take a moment to think about the world we live in today.
Technology is changing fast, people are working hard to make their as well as others life better, but things go from bad to worse every day. A new and exciting invention by a hardworking group of people is later used by unscrupulous people with their evil intentions. People who should be protecting their subjects mercilessly and brutally kill them irrespective of women or children. People who are responsible for the welfare of the society steal, loot, and amass wealth for themselves. The list goes on!
Let us take a moment to re-evaluate our life for a moment.
How is our life here on this earth? Is it any different from others as Christians?
Definitely as Christians we are supposed to behave and act the Christ way. Apostle Paul says “imitate me as I imitate Christ”. We are supposed to be imitators of Christ, and Paul through his epistles has irrefutably explained the importance and its need.

Life of Paul was not based on emotions or the education he had, but purely on what he received from the knowledge of Christ. He, through his understanding of Christ, reiterates that Jesus wants us to follow him and remain in him.
First Peter Ch: 2 reads:
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation; God’s own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people at all, but now you are God’s people; once you were unpitied, but now you are pitied and have received mercy. Beloved, I implore you as aliens and strangers and exiles in this world to abstain from the sensual urges the evil desires, the passions of the flesh, your lower nature that wage war against the soul. Conduct yourselves properly, honorably, righteously among the Gentiles, so that, although they may slander you as evildoers, yet they may by witnessing your good deeds come to glorify God in the day of inspection when God shall look upon you wanderers as a pastor or shepherd looks over his flock”.
Verse 21 says:
"To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his steps.”
Friends, we got to know ourselves. For this, we need some time of quiet and peace for ourselves.
Never forget to build on our gifts and correct those that we are weak at. Let us work at everything that is acceptable and pleasing to God.
If we are honest in our evaluations, He will work along with us to overcome these failures.
The strength and the power of Christ along with his grace, mercy, and loving-kindness will strengthen us and lead us in this journey to become what we should be.
